Mainstream arts institutions have long claimed to welcome all artists—yet for Black, Indigenous, and People of Color who are also neurodivergent, the gap between stated inclusion and actual belonging remains vast. Rather than waiting for those institutions to change, a rising generation of BIPOC neurodivergent artists is constructing entirely parallel cultural ecosystems: collectives, venues, and networks built around radically different assumptions about time, sensory experience, and what creat
